While debugging equipment and adapting the methodology, I studied all its pitfalls and realized that this approach is not suitable for routine analysis, the post-column method is much more effective, and it is not for nothing that it is considered the "gold standard" all over the world. However, the organization did not have the money to buy an amino acid analyzer. And then the thought arose: why not make a prefix for deprivation yourself? This is a fairly simple module, its main components are a pump and a high–temperature reactor. I outlined the idea to the director of the institute: we make a derivatizer for a quarter of the price of an amino acid analyzer, add your chromatograph, and you get the classic post-column method.

Our own chromatographic production began with work for the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry named after Academician L.K.Ernst. In one of the laboratories of this institute, we launched the method of pre-column derivatization.
